This website is owned and operated by WIP Wirtschaft und Infrastruktur GmbH & Co Planungs-KG, Sylvensteinstr. 2, 81369 Munich, Germany (“WIP”).
WIP reserves the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms and Conditions in its sole discretion at any time and without prior notice. Please check this page periodically for any modifications. Your continued use of this site following the posting of any changes will mean that you have accepted these changes.
Registered users on the EU PVSEC Proceedings Site are able to purchase individual full-text articles with a credit card. Access will be instant and available for one week as a downloadable PDF document.
An invoice can be downloaded together with the purchased papers.
Copyrights and limitations of use
Unless otherwise noted, all information, text, articles, data, images, documents or other materials contained on any page within this Site are copyrighted by WIP or a third party (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Copyright Holder").
All rights are reserved. No part of this website may be reproduced in any form or by any means electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording or any information storage and retrieval system without permission in writing from the Copyright Holder. Any reproduction, distribution, replication or retransmission of any information contained on this website without the prior written consent of WIP is strictly prohibited. No guarantee is offered against programming errors or any subsequent loss or damage of any kind.
Despite due diligence no liability for accuracy and completeness of the information and material offered on this website can be assumed by WIP.

Neither WIP nor any of its affiliates or licensors shall be liable to you or anyone else for any loss or injury, caused in whole or part by its negligence or contingencies beyond its control in procuring, compiling, interpreting, reporting or delivering information through the site. In no event will WIP, its affiliates or licensors be liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or action taken by you in reliance on such information. WIP and its affiliates and licensors shall not be liable to you or anyone else for any damages (including, without limitation, consequential, special, incidental, indirect, or similar damages) even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
WIP aims to keep the Site available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week and to maintain saved information. However, due to technical failures, acts of God or routine maintenance, availability may be limited and/or information may be lost. WIP shall not be liable for lost information or non-availability of the services.
You hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold WIP, its directors, officers, shareholders, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents and licensors harmless from and against any and all liability, losses, damages and costs, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Site or Content.
Unless otherwise provided in the Terms and Conditions, any communication, material or feedback with regard to contents on this Site transmitted by a user of this Site via electronic mail or otherwise, including any data, questions, or comments regarding the content of any Document or other information contained on the Site, such information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and WIP shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such information and shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose and distribute the information to others without limitation. Further, WIP shall be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such information for any purpose whatsoever including, without limitation, publication on the Site, or other WIP publications, and developing, manufacturing, and marketing products using such information. WIP shall have no obligation to compensate the contributor of such information in any manner.
Governing Law and Venue
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. You hereby submit to and agree that the sole jurisdiction and venue for any actions that may arise under or in relation to the subject matter hereof shall be the courts located in Germany.
WIP may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, you agree to cease all use of this Site. Without limiting the foregoing, WIP shall have the right to immediately terminate your access and use of the Site, or any portion of the Site, in the event of any conduct by you or through your account which WIP, in its sole discretion, considers to be unacceptable, or in the event of any breach by you of the Terms and Conditions.
Credit Card Transactions
For your protection, we have taken a number of steps to maximize the security of financial transactions that are accepted on the EU PVSEC Proceedings Web Site. Credit Card processing is accomplished using secure processing services. Your data is transmitted using the SSL standards which continuously encrypt data between your computer and our web server.
Regardless of the precautions taken by you or by WIP, ‘perfect security’ does not exist on the internet. WIP cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to this site or WIP, and you transmit such information at your own risk.
Collection and Registration of Personal Information
We sometimes request users of the Site to provide personal information. The information collected from a user is strictly voluntary and may include contact information such as the user's name, e-mail address, and postal address.
In order to access certain content and to make use of the full functionality and advanced personalisation features of the Site such as alerts, saved searches, and search history, we ask you to register and obtain a personal User Name and Password. You may be prompted to register when you:
- Choose the "Register" link from the home page or login screens
- Use personalisation features
- Create an e-mail alert or save a search
- Order a document
The information collected from the registration form that is presented to users when they choose to register may include contact information such as the user's name, e-mail address, postal address, work setting, profession, principal professional field and country ("Registration Information"). The Registration Information is linked directly to a personal User Name and Password chosen by the user and can only be retrieved by supplying the correct User Name and Password that is linked to that profile.
How personal information is used
We use the personal information that you provide for such purposes as:
- Completion and support of the activity for which the information was provided, such as allowing access to or delivery of our products or services, processing or fulfilling an order, or responding to your requests or inquiries;
- Website and system administration, such as for the technical support of the Site and its computer system, including processing computer account information, information used in the course of securing and maintaining the Site, and verification of Site activity by the Site or its agents;
- Tailoring or customizing content or design of the Site during a single visit to the Site and individualized personalization of the Site on repeat visits;
- Research and development to enhance, evaluate and improve the Site and our services;
- Pseudonymous analysis to create a profile used to determine the habits, interests or other characteristics of users for purposes of research, analysis and anonymous reporting; and
- Communicating with you about changes or updates to the Site and our services and, with your consent, newsletters about the EU PVSEC Events and Proceedings.
Access and Changes to Your Registration Information and Preferences
Registered users may access their identified contact information and other Registration Information and correct any discrepancies or update information by clicking on the “Account Settings" link at any time. The accuracy of such information is solely the responsibility of the user. No access is given to other data that may have been collected about users.
If you wish to receive newsletters from us, please tick the appropriate check box when you register or amend your preferences by logging in and clicking on the relevant "Account Settings" link at any time. If you wish to cease receiving any of this information, amend your preferences either by logging in and clicking on the relevant "Account Settings" link or by notifying us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). We reserve the right to notify you of changes or updates to the Site whenever necessary.
Retention of Personal Information
We retain the personal information we collect from you for as long as the information is relevant to our purposes or until you request that we remove the data by contacting us.
Use of "Cookies"
Cookies are implemented in various parts of the Site, such as the Electronic Catalog. It is the policy of WIP that Cookies do not carry any of your personal information (name, email address, credit card, etc.) nor identification/password-type data that allows access to such personal information on WIP servers. All personal, transaction and security rights are housed on secure WIP servers, and follow the policy described in the "Collection and Registration of Personal Information” and “How personal information is used”.
Our Commitment to Data Security
We recognize that your privacy is important to you, and therefore we endeavor to keep your personal information confidential. The personal and demographic information about each user is stored on servers that are behind a firewall and physically housed within a secured data center. Furthermore, our internal practices help protect your privacy by limiting employee access to and use of such information. However, we do not represent, warrant, or guarantee that your personal information will be protected against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alterations, and do not accept any liability for the security of such information submitted to us nor for your or third parties' use or misuse of such information.
WIP cooperates with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties, to enforce laws. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us, service or content providers we work with, or you to possible legal liability.
