Diffraction Gratings for Light Trapping in Thin-Film Silicon Solar Cells
 
Abstract/Summary:
 
Surface morphology and scattering properties of a series of one-dimensional periodic gratings formed on a glass substrate were characterized. Performance of single-junction amorphous silicon solar cells deposited on these periodically-textured substrates approaches the performance of cells deposited on an Asahi U-type-like substrate.
