Abstract/Summary:


This paper introduce the Potential induced degradation (PID) phenomenon, analyzes the PID forming mechanism, studies factors contributing to PID: temperature of the environment, relative humidity and differences in voltage potential between the solar cells in the PV module and the frame. Based on our studies, we have developed solutions designed in cell level, module level and system level to prevent PID.
