In near future, urban areas will rely on the wide implementation of X-Integrated Photovoltaic (X-IPV) systems [1] to provide green electricity for the sustainable electrification. In this research, a modelling framework to accurately predicting their output energy yield and asses their impact on the low voltage distribution grid, has been developed. This tool can accurately compute the total yield of a PV array in a densely populated urban area at a pace of 2.5 seconds per building. In this contribution, we present the results of a pilot project executed in a Dutch neighbourhood of 4873 separate roof owners located in the city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The main result is a multi-layer geospatial map that can be used by municipality decision-makers for effective planning and optimum resource allocation by knowing the true PV potential in urban areas as well as the limiting factors of the massive of implementation PV modules. Such multi-layer approach can be extended by further integration of other layers of urban information.
