Abstract/Summary:


Si-HJT solar cells are sensitive to humidity and, therefore, it is important to carefully choose the backsheet materials for the bill of materials (BOM) that could protect cells from water ingress. While the glass-glass modules would be the best solution, there are several disadvantages such as cost and weight. Therefore, when choosing the backsheet material for HJT module it is important to check such parameter as water vapour transmission rate (WVTR). The work is aimed to understand how crucial is WVTR for module performance and durability.
