Abstract/Summary:


Veolia Environnement is a major international player in energy and environmental management services. Renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic, play a key role in its strategy. In order to test and compare different PV technologies, a test-platform has been built by Veolia’s Research and Innovation department. One of the studies was aimed at observing the influence of diffuse irradiation on the PV modules’ performance. In a first part, this paper describes the methodology used to observe the influence of diffuse irradiation on PV module performance. In a second part, the results are discussed. The influence of diffuse irradiation was observed for every module, including thin films technologies.
