Abstract/Summary:


From an application point of view it would be desirable to have solar cells in various colors whilst maintaining efficiency. Existing color engineering procedures for crystalline silicon cells combine anti-reflective dielectric layers on top of the cell. The resulting colors are not very bright. Our approach is through the structural coloring of silicon itself. To see how this looks large area (5 x 5 mm) coloring in all colors of the rainbow has been performed.
