Abstract/Summary:


In order to get more power from solar modules manufacturers are trying many innovation methods. In this article, the benefits of using high reflection rate white encapsulant over a traditional EVA is presented. Optical performance of white encapsulant is demonstrated to reflect more light between cells back to module compared to backsheet or back glass. White EVA brings 1.5-1.8 extra watts if compared with an ordinary glass/backsheet polycrystalline silicon cell module, 2-2.5 watts with glass/backsheet monocrystalline silicon cell module and even more power with half-cell module.
