The European Solar Test Installation (ESTI), located at the JRC Ispra site in Italy, is a European reference laboratory for calibration of photovoltaic (PV) devices and verification of their energy generation. It is as well one of the world-leading laboratories PV calibration. Since its launch in the late 1970’s, it has also been at the forefront of the development of international standards for the assessment of electrical performance of PV products and for their reliability. The development of measurement procedures and protocols made ESTI a versatile laboratory capable of measuring a wide range of PV device performance.
