Abstract/Summary:


A solar cadastre provides a perfect data source for a small scale analysis of the solar potential. Based on the data from the solar cadastre grid simulations for parts of the distribution grid were performed. The results of the grid simulations show that the voltage increase becomes critical in most cases. However, taking into account reactive power feed in from the inverters and switchable transformers the voltage increase can be kept within the guidelines. The approach used in this project provides grid operators with a tool that allows them to test their current grid or planned new grid elements for compatibility with the many photovoltaic plants to be installed in the future.
