Solar Frontier developed a new type of solution coating method for Cu(In,Ga)(Se,S)2 solar cells. Carrier density, grain growth, recombination velocity are controlled with newly developed absorber formation ink. Photo conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17.72% was achieved with new process and certified by Fraunhofer Institutes, Germany. Internally PCE of 18.7% was measured these results are the highest reported efficiency for a solar cell with solution coated CuInGa(S,Se)2. EBIC, Suns Voc, SSRM, C-V measurement are employed to analyze the difference of physical properties for the cells with doped layer and un-doped layer.
