Abstract/Summary:


Recent global warming and climate changes due to the extreme use of fossil fuel, and Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in 2011 also request us to realize the utilization of clean and unlimited solar energy at an early stage. Photovoltaics are the most desirable technology toward this urgent subject. Among many types of solar cells, dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) with medium functions of conversion efficiency and durability is the most promising system from the characteristics of available resources and easy fabrication at a reasonable cost. Enlargement of active surface area of DSC with increasing conversion efficiency is essential for its practical applications.
