Solar concentrated photovoltaic and thermal (CPVT) hybrid systems are attractive due to the generation both electric and thermal energies and having increased efficiency of the system. The efficiency of solar cells of CPVT systems is affected by operation temperature and solar radiation concentration rate. To analyse the efficiency of solar cells the simple mathematical model for different type concentrating solar cells is proposed. This approach is based on a linear approximation of experimentally obtained data and assumption on the superposition of operation temperature and concentration influences on efficiency. By proposed mathematical model the efficiencies of the single junction and multi-junction solar cells are determined. The results match reasonably with simulation and experimental data obtained by other authors. The proposed mathematical model can be used for determination of solar cells efficiency of CPVT hybrid and CPV non-hybrid systems.
