Abstract/Summary:


Modeling for optimum sizing of the array for operating a Solar pump is done for the composite climatic zone of India based on the most favorable sub system efficiency and flow rate for a particular Solar pump. The sizing of the array should be such that the solar pump operates in its most favorable region of performance for most of the time for a particular site. The performance of a particular SPV array technology can be characterized by its performance ratio at that particular site.
