Abstract/Summary:


This paper proposes a photovoltaic (PV) potential electricity for grid connected systems in Algeria using solar maps. A solar radiation database was developed using a solar radiation model and climatic data integrated within the PV geographic Information Systems (PVGIS). The database has been used to analyze regional and national of solar energy resources and to determinate a PV potential in Algeria. Climatic parameters (irradiation and temperature) and technological parameters (inverter efficiency) are the most influential parameters for the PV production systems. Using the previous input data, many simulations have been carried out in order to determinate the PV production and the influential parameters. The PV Electricity Potential for grid connected systems Algerian map has been plotted.
