A bifacial c Si (crystalline silicon) PV module could produce power by absorbing light through not only the front but also the rear surface s which shows an improvement in power generation compared to monofacial c Si PV module There have been extensive researches on the power performances of monofacial c Si PV module at low irradiance environments which include partial shading ratios The study on power loss of bifacial c Si PV module systems with partial shading ratios, however, has not been carried out enough yet In this study, experiments for both the bifacial and WB(white back sheet) bifacial PV modules have been conducted with the partial shading in consideration to analyze the power losses of a bifacial c Si PV module at low irradiance environments From the results, it has been confirmed that the bifacial c Si PV module showed a lower power loss rate than the WB b i facial PV module, with a power loss rate of 88 compared to the one from the WB b i facial PV module power
