In this contribution, we attempt to quantify the eect of albedo on the generated energy of a oating PV system, which is assumed to be installed on the North sea. Albedo is modeled as a function of solar irradiation, wind speed and solar zenith angle and we study the eect of albedo by changing these dierent variables. The energy output of a 3.6kW oating PV system consisting of 12 panels is compared for two scenarios of (i) constant albedo and (ii) a modeled varying albedo. The quantied results show that the system performance in case of a varying albedo is improved by about 3% compared to a constant albedo.
