Weather forecasts are already used to optimise the use of PV energy in private and industrial applications. Standard methods as numerical weather prediction (NWP) or satellite data have usually reduced update intervals and geographical scale. Especially forecasting in a very short time and scale (e.g. nowcasting) is a complex task why in latest researches all-sky imagers or so called sky cams are used. Additionally a high number of installed PV-systems can provide online data of current power or sensor values.
