Abstract/Summary:


Short-term variability in the power generated by large grid-connected PV plants can negatively affect power quality and the network stability. New grid-codes require combining the PV generator with some form of energy storage technology in order to reduce short-term PV power fluctuations. An already existing PV plant has been adapted for the installation of a 100 kW/56 kWh Lithium-┬Čion battery, in order to validate several ramp-rate control strategies previously designed and simulated in Mathlab. This work explains, therefore, the validation process carried on four different strategies along several days in a real environment.
