This paper presents the validation of four dierent energy management strategies (EMS) in a Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) system with a Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) demonstrator. The tested EMS were developed during the rst half of the PVCROPS project. The strategies are: constant power control, i.e., the main goal is to maintain the exchange of energy between the BIPV system and the electric grid constant throughout all day; the self-consumption optimization, hence the injection of energy in the grid is avoided, i.e., the loads are preferentially supplied by the energy produced by the BIPV system or by the energy stored in the VRFB; the two other EMS are the same as the two previously described but with load management, that incorporates the short-term prediction of PV production and load supply, which can be delayed to only function during a period when PV production is predicted to be sucient. Finally, the results and conclusions are presented.
