Abstract/Summary:

This paper describes the Living Labs developed and completed by the three academic partners (UPJV, KU Leuven and University of Portsmouth) in the EU Interreg 2 Seas project SOLARISE. The Living Labs demonstrate a variety of technologies, with all three having PV and battery storage, and UPJV and KU Leuven demonstrating thermal energy storage solutions. While usage and visits of the Living Labs have been hampered by the covid pandemic, lessons about the development of the Living Labs, such as regulatory delays even for limited PV power installations are discussed. Historical monitored data from the Living Labs will be made available for download via the partner websites and the SOLARISE project website, www.interregsolarise.eu.
