Abstract/Summary:


For global warming prevention, as eco-friendly power source, the construction of large scale gridconnected PV power stations is growing all over the world. However, the PV output depends heavily on weather condition, which means it is difficult to carry out scheduled operation that is important and essential function for power station. Therefore, it is necessary for more enhancement of the value of PV systems to establish the technologies to make them from dpending-on-weather power source to controllable power source. One of the solutions for the above challenges is to install energy storage system, such as NAS battery system, to suppress the PV output fluctuation and enable scheduled operation. The demonstrative tests for ‚ÄúVerification of Grid Stabilization with Large-scale PV power generation‚ÄĚ has been started. In this project, some novel control scheme for the scheduled operation of PV is under development. In this paper, leading-edge control technologies of NAS battery system, and the power station output management system are described. Moreover, some valuable results of demonstrative tests are shown. Through the demonstrative tests, it is proved that it is able to control PV output and it is possible to use as PV power station.
