N-type silicon solar cell is being more and more focused because of the Si substrate feathering with long minority lifetime and no B-O complex related degradation. Bifacial Passivation Emitter and Rear Total-diffused (PERT) n-type solar cells is a high efficiency solution which can be realized by industrialization easily due to the process simplification. One of the key nPERT process was the P+ emitter formation. BBr3 diffusion has been proved for mass production for years, but the dopant uniformity and the process integration still limited the industrialization of n-type solar cells. In this work, nPERT solar cell combined boron ink spin coating and POCl3 diffusion was investigated. The results showed that solar cell efficiency greater than 20.2% was obtained with bifaciality more than 90%. The outdoor performance of glass-glass module with nPERT solar cells showed that the power output gained about 7-10% with grass background, and increased higher with higher light intensity.
