Abstract/Summary:


FP7-CHEETAH is a combined collaborative project (CP) and coordination and support action (CSA) receiving funding from the European Union under grant agreement No 609788. The project aims at solving specific R&D issues to overcome fragmentation of European PV R&D and at intensifying the collaboration between R&D providers and industry to accelerate the industrialization of innovations. The key points of the project aiming at a joined “pan-European strategic common vision” on PV RTD and aligned to the “European Photovoltaic Technology Platform” are: · analysis of technical and scientific needs in PV RTD in short, medium and long term analysis of knowledge necessities: demand side · inventory of available expertise and infrastructures: supply side · definition of the action plan and the development of tools aiming to foster relationships and multidisciplinary collaborative research on international, national, and institutional level This exchange activity is efficiently supported by several measures (project web site, newsletters, communications, surveys, etc.). A specific web site named CHEETAH Knowledge Exchange Web Area portal (KEAP), http://www.cheetah.exchange.eu. represents the key tool to improve the state of the art of knowledge exchange on PV RTD because: · CHEETAH KEAP spans the range from collection of available expertise/infrastructure (supply site), to its elaboration (management) and its final offer to project partners (demand site) by utilizing very efficient and friendly ICT-Information and Communication tools. · All interested readers can have efficient access to any stored data thanks to the utilization of search engine/query keywords based on friendly graphic interfaces. · It is a dynamic data base: any uploaded information is linked to any other by dynamic links that allow access to individual information as well as to a group of information based on the needs of the reader. This saves time and improves the quality/quantity of acquired information. · The web area also provides dedicated tools to share expertise by organizing on-line meetings, webinars and on-line tests, dedicated surveys among respondents The portal is also accessible to non-CHEETAH partners offering them opportunities to not only access the information, but also to collaborate in uploading their own infrastructures and expert profiles, technical documents, and by proposing dedicated seminars and technical discussion.
