Abstract/Summary:


Grain boundaries in solar cells can give several important effects relevant for the performance of solar cells. The grain boundaries can give both negative and positive effects on the power generation. Hence, the study of these effects is an important topic. It is in the present paper suggested that Monte Carlo simulations may be a possible tool for simulating these effects. Some preliminary results are given to demonstrate the method. It is possible to develop this simulation concept into more advanced models which can be of importance in studying several effects of grain boundaries in solar cells.
