Abstract/Summary:


ZSW realized a 29 kWp PV façade and a 19 kWp PV roof based on CIGS technology on parts of its new office and laboratory building in Stuttgart, Germany. For research purposes, a detailed monitoring system has been installed. Energy yield measurements based on a one-year period from the PV façade and the PV rooftop array are presented. The article also describes results of simulation calculations of the self-sufficiency and self-consumption by both PV façades and PV roofs on selected buildings.
