Abstract/Summary:


This paper is based on the work carried out in the EU project: “Solar PV on the Distribution Grid: Smart Integrated Solutions of Distributed Generation based on Solar PV, Energy Storage Devices and Active Demand Management” acronym – iDistributedPV. The iDistributedPV project is a European Union Horizon 2020 granted research program aiming to investigate solutions to enhance large-scale penetration of solar PVs in the distribution grids. The aim of iDistributedPV´s project is developing affordable integrated solutions to enhance the large scale penetration of distributed solar PV. The project develops the concept of “prosumer”: a player that consumes and produces electricity in his facilities. It is based upon the effective integration of solar PV equipment, energy storage, monitoring and controlling strategies and procedures, active demand management, smart technologies and the integration of procedures in the power distribution system according to market criteria.
