Abstract/Summary:


In a context of continuous growth of implementation of ground PV plants, studies show that an available solar potential (i.e. ground surfaces available for PV) for hundreds of GWp does exist in France but this will require using lands of minor quality and non-optimal dimensions. In addition, some companies, exploiting railways, highroads, irrigation canals …, want or may want to make the most of the grounds along these installations with photovoltaic systems. There is therefore a need to study the electrical architecture of these new plants that may extend for hundreds of meters up to several kilometres and determine the best configuration(s) to lower the energy losses.
