Abstract/Summary:


Electroluminescence investigations on Cu(In,Ga)Se2 mini-modules under different bias conditions reveal the influence of shunts on the performance of the individual cells and of the entire module. Our analysis assumes the electroluminescence intensity at each surface position of the module to depend on the actual junction voltage at this specific location. Therefore, the analysis of the electroluminescence intensity retrieves the current/voltage characteristics of all individual cells of the module. With these results, we calculate the mean voltage over all cells of the module and the corresponding standard deviations to classify module performances.
