Abstract/Summary:

Holistic Technical Asset Management tools are needed for most of the PV stakeholders to keep and track the optimal performance of PV systems. One example of such tool is the EnOS™ Advanced Analytics for Solar, which enables operators, asset managers, and others, to get highly accurate key performance indicators (KPI) for assessing system performance and detailed energy loss breakdowns which help prioritize corrective actions to increase revenues and operational efficiency. To further improve the results of the analytics, in this paper we are proposing a novel algorithm called “Acceptance Bands” to confirm the allocation of normal operating points for any PV system type, PV module technology and geographical location. This new algorithm generates dynamic thresholds based on irradiance and power to categorize each timestep as a normal or abnormal operating point.
